We are thankful for the love and support you have shown to your neighbors and to your church since the Covid-19 pandemic started re-shaping much of our daily lives last year. We will continue to practice and model good health and safety measures for all in our congregation, particularly for our children under age 12 and anyone else currently ineligible for or unable to receive the vaccine.
With local transmission rates trending at a low level and vaccination rates improving in our community, the Covid-19 task force offers the following updates to our Covid-19 guidelines at Church Street.
- Mask wearing and social distancing are optional. Please respect others’ choices. Two exceptions to the mask-optional change:
- Please continue to wear a mask any time you are in the children’s ministry area. Those volunteering in the children’s ministry or anyone in the education building are still required to wear masks, as those under age 12 are not yet eligible to receive the Covid-19 vaccine. Children ages 4 and older should continue to wear a mask. Children ages 3 and under are not required to wear a mask, but all nursery workers will continue to mask in the nursery area.
- Please wear a mask during congregational singing, regardless of your vaccination status. Congregational singing will resume during worship services, but some in our church family, including the children who join us in the nave, are still ineligible for vaccination, and we will continue to love all our neighbors by wearing a mask during singing.
Please get vaccinated if you are eligible and able. This preventive measure helps keep our whole community safe and is a demonstration of love to our neighbors who are unable or ineligible at this time to receive the vaccine. Visit www.vaccines.gov to find a vaccination location near you.
