J.J. Warren is a graduate of New York’s Sarah Lawrence College (‘19) and a seminary student at Boston University School of Theology (‘22). After his impassioned speech at General Conference 2019, he has traveled to United Methodist congregations around the world, working toward the full inclusion of LGBTQ+ people in the Church. He’s the author of an upcoming book, Reclaiming Church: A Call to Action for Religious Rejects, which will be published by the UMC’s Abingdon Press in February 2020.
