United Methodist Women
The organized unit of United Methodist Women shall be a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church. Women of diverse ethnic and socioeconomic background, employed, not employed, housewives, business women, single, married, divorced, young middle-aged and older women. We are women committed to mission. There are fifteen circles that meet monthly for study and spiritual growth. Some meet in the evening and some in the daytime, either in homes or at the church. A Service Circle and a Current Issues Group meet on the fourth Tuesday at the church. There is a general meeting for all members of the United Methodist Women on the third Tuesday of the month at the church. This offers a time for learning, special programs and fellowship. Women join to grow spiritually, educationally and intellectually; to be stimulated, to gain leadership experience, to meet other women and to be involved in mission in a number of ways. If you want to become a member, there is a place for you, and you are invited to join. Please contact the President, Sue Hung, at 693-2736, or through the church office, 524-3048. Check out the official page of United Methodist Women online. Response: The Voice of Women in Mission, published by the Women's Division, General Board of Global Ministries, United Methodist Church.
