Rick is responsible
for the overall coordination of all program ministries of the church
in cooperation with laity, program staff and church committees. Rick
also is responsible for volunteer coordination as Church Street seeks
to involve the members in ministries within and beyond the walls of
the church.
Rick Isbell is a
native of Columbia, SC. He received his B.A. (Drama) and M.A (Christian
Education) degrees from Scarritt College in Nashville, Tenn. Before
coming to Church Street UMC in 1992, Rick served on the staff of Belmont
UMC, Nashville, Tenn. (1979-92) and First UMC, Maryville, Tenn. (1975-79).
He is a certified Director of Christian Education and an ordained deacon
in The United Methodist Church.
Rick is married
to Sue Isbell who also serves on the staff of Church Street UMC as Director
of Children's Ministries. They have two daughters, Sarah and Allison.
Outside the church, Rick enjoys golf and landscape work around the yard.
