REJOICE! is the cornerstone of our television ministry. Many in our audience are formerly active Church Street members who can no longer attend church. We are pleased to offer this connection between them and Church Street.
The devotional program airs on WVLT-TV (Channel 8) on Sunday mornings at 8:30 am and is repeated on MYVLT-2 at 10 am.
Five things that you maybe didn’t know about REJOICE!
- Rejoice! is taped weekly at WVLT-TV studios, located off of Papermill Drive in Knoxville, Tennessee.
- This 30-minute devotional program actually runs 28 minutes and 55 seconds.
- During the taping, the minister stands in front of a green screen: the “stained glass window” background appears during the broadcast.
- The musical selections, provided by the Parish Adult Choir and Handbell Choir, are taped at the church every other year or so.
- Rejoice! aired for the first time on February 7, 1982.
