Jim Fleming Biblical Lectures
The Lecture Series at Church Street
The Education Committee is pleased to sponsor these lectures. In November 2011, Dr. Fleming will return to Church Street for the 14th consecutive year, presenting 5 lectures on Sunday, Nov. 20 and Monday, Nov. 21.
The lecture series is scheduled each fall and is funded through the operating budget of the church. Lectures are held in Parish Hall and are available for Continuing Education Credits. Lecture topics are decided late summer/early fall.

Dr. Jim Fleming returns for the 14th consecutive year to present 5 lectures following the theme, "Jesus the Good Shepherd."
All lectures will be held in Parish Hall.
Who is Jim Fleming?
Dr. Jim Fleming is currently the Founder and Executive Director of the Explorations in Antiquity Center in LaGrange, Georgia, which offers full sclae archaelogical replicas from biblical times, multi-media presentations, conferences and other educational experiences. Dr. Fleming also serves as Director of Biblical Ministries at First UMC of Houston, Texas, where he is helping the church develop a biblical conference center bringing biblical media together with his Biblical Resources work in Jerusalem.
Dr. Fleming has lived and worked in Israel since 1974. Since that time is has developed courses of study in historical geography and biblical history uniquely tying the studies with the biblical text and emphasizing the coming together of faith and theology. Having studied in the United States and Israel, Dr. Fleming holds an Ed.D. degree from Southwestern Theological Seminary. In Israel, he has taught at the School of Overseas Studies, Hebrew University, whose directory has referred to Dr. Fleming's media lecture room as "the most sophisticated teaching center in the Middle East."
