Four Course Fellowship

The next rotation of Four Course Fellowship begins in May and you can be a part of it! In this fellowship opportunity, groups will be established and locations, appetizers, salads, entrees and desserts will rotate monthly within the group. If you have taken part in the past please rejoin those of us who would like to meet or renew acquaintances.
Here's how it works: You sign up (with a spouse, relative or friend) and are placed in an 8-person group to share a meal and fellowship. Your group gets together once a month (for four months). The days and times of the meals are determined by your group to be convenient for all eight persons. The host pair provides meat, beverage and home; the second pair provides appetizer and vegetable; the third pair provides salad and bread; and the fourth pair provides dessert. Each month a different 2-person team becomes the host pair, and all pairs rotate the portion of the meal for which they are responsible.
Here's how to sign up: Please contact Kathy Alexander at 379-5249 or by Friday, April 24.

UMW General Meeting

United Methodist Women focus on many issues, including violence against women. Unfortunately, we do not have to look far to find instances of this. In the span of a year from 2013 to 2014, allegations of sexual assault rose by 80% on the University of Tennessee campus. On Tuesday, April 14, Dr. Pat Freeland will join us and discuss what is happening on the UT campus as well as to share statistics and other information concerning this issue. We will gather in the Parish Hall at 11 a.m.

Dr. Freeland is a longtime Church Streeter, a member of the Lydia Circle, and Professor of Political Science at UT. As Chair of the Women?s Studies, she serves on committees struggling to deal with the complex issue of campus sexual assault.

We hope you will join us for this important presentation. Please support Pat and UMW with your presence and learn about what is happening on the UT campus, just a short distance from our church. Lunch will be served at noon following the program. Please make reservations by calling the church office at 524-3048 or by emailing
